Donny Blake, a community access producer from St. Louis was visiting Carpinteria and asked people in town “who is a local media character”. Somebody directed him to Nimmer. Blake, who became infatuated with Nimmer, went back to St. Louis and produced the Larryland Fan Club TV show. (2007)
